Applications open for 2023 South Dakota journalism scholarship

South Dakota journalism students have until May 20 to apply for a journalism scholarship of up to $5,000.

The David Kranz-Argus Leader Media Journalism Scholarships will award either one $5,000 schoolarship or two $2,500 scholarships to two college journalism students from South Dakota colleges or universities.

The scholarships are awarded in the memory of David Kranz, who worked in journalism for more than 40 years before retiring from the Argus Leader in 2010. He died in 2018.
