Apply for Baltimore's 2023 YouthWorks program

Applications opened Tuesday for Baltimore's YouthWorks program. The summer program gives teens and young adults 14 to 21 real-world work experience. The city pairs participants with nonprofits, private companies and city agencies. In 2022, YouthWorks placed 5,819 Baltimore City youth in summer jobs across over 400 worksites in industries including technology, design, finance and more. This year's program will run from July 10 to Aug. 11. YouthWorks pays the state minimum wage -- for 2023, that'll be $13.25 per hour. Participants can work up to 25 hours a week for five weeks, and they will have the opportunity to earn more than $1,500 next summer.
