Netflix has confirmed a released window for Arcane's second season.

The long-awaited follow-up season of the acclaimed animated series, which is based on the League of Legends video game series, was confirmed two years ago.

However, the streamer has now given us more concrete news on when we'll get to see it, with the show set to return in a year's time in November 2024.

Netflix teased the news with a brief animated clip of Jinx walking across a bridge holding the rocket launcher she used in the season one finale, as fire and a red hue surround her.

Arcane is set in the lavish city of Piltover and its underbelly Zaun, and follows the story of sisters Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Powder/Jinx (Ella Purnell) as they find themselves on opposing sides of a brewing conflict.

Upon its season 2 renewal in November 2021, co-creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee said: "We're beyond happy about the positive response to Arcane's first season and are working hard with the creative wizards at Riot and Fortiche to deliver our second instalment."

Earlier this year, Riot Games CEO Nicolo Laurent gave an update on the second season, suggesting that fans were in store for a wait while also revealing that he had seen the third episode.

"Honestly, we didn’t know if season one was gonna be a success," he said (via Esports). "If I had known, we could have started season two way earlier. But we didn’t know, so we kind of waited a bit. Now we’re paying the price. So, it's unfortunately not going to be this year.”

Arcane season one is streaming now on Netflix. Season 2 will be released in November 2024.
