Archbishop Hoban, Northwest win at Classic in the Country

Archbishop Hoban 69, Fremont Ross 46

The Knights (13-0), ranked sixth the Division I state poll, remained unbeaten with a win over Fremont Ross (12-3) Monday in the Classic in the Country at Berlin Hiland.

Senior Lanae Riley led Hoban with 24 points and eight rebounds. The Knights also received solid efforts from Adrena Gordon (14 points), Emma Rasmussen (13 points), Rylee Bennett (nine points), Grace Schill (four points and six assists) and Erica King (two points and five steals).

Hoban outscored Ross 38-21 in the second half.

Northwest 56, Shaker Heights Hathaway Brown 50 (2OT)

Northwest needed two extra periods to triumph at the Classic in the Country. Ashley Cudnik and Lily Bottomley scored 19 and 18 points, respectively, for Northwest (12-2).

Bottomley finished with a double-double by adding a game-high 14 rebounds and blocked two shots. Cudnik also had five steals and three assists.

Northwest's Gianna Kuhn added eight points, seven assists and six steals; Carly Spradling had seven points and eight rebounds and Ashlyn Stark had two points, five assists and four steals.
