Archbold names Palmer Chief Medical Officer

Jun. 29—THOMASVILLE- Archbold recently announced Kristopher Palmer, DO, FACOI, CHCQM, as Chief Medical Officer for the health system.

Palmer joined the Archbold system's medical staff as a hospital medicine physician in 2016. During that time, he has served in many leadership roles, including Hospital Medicine Program Director, Archbold's Internal Medicine Residency Program Director and most recently, Interim Chief Medical Officer.

"Dr. Palmer's experience in physician leadership roles, along with his dedication to service excellence, high-quality healthcare and evidence-based medicine, will enable us to continue to provide the best healthcare for patients in our region," said Darcy Craven, Archbold president and CEO. "Dr. Palmer has been a valued member of our medical staff and leader in our organization and we are excited for him to step into this role."

Palmer earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Bethany College in West Virginia and a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
