Nov. 6—From the Times-Call photo archive via Longmont Museum: "In a sandwich sign and spreading the word today of the 'candidates' night' Thursday at the St. Vrain Memorial Building under sponsorship of the League of Women Voters and Daily Times-Call, was Myra Howrey, assisted by Alison, 4 1/2, and Mitch, 21 months. Mrs. Howrey, a league member, told folks of the 25 candidates expected to appear at the pre-Nov. 5 general election event, hoping to win state, federal and county offices."
