Area bowling: Pappas rolls association's highest women's game of season with 290

She finished with the women’s highest series of the week at 694, just missing her career-best 699.

The parade of first-time 300 games continued for a fourth week. This time, Drew Davis provided the excitement while exceeding his 156 average by 144 pins to record a perfect game in the Don McIvor Memorial league at Port Huron Lanes. Nate Holmes was just shy of perfection with a 299 game, but still was strong enough to lead all bowlers this week with a 758 series in Cowboys & Indians.

Two other bowlers far exceeded their season averages as Jeremiah Hudson was 190 pins over with a 739 series in the Rick Dodge Memorial league at Bowl O Drome. Lance Singles tossed a 277 game in the Masters league at Port Huron Lanes, surpassing his average by 105 pins in that game alone.
