Feb. 23—MADISON — Kaiden Allpress opened Monday's game with a pair of 3-pointers. And the shots just kept falling for Allpress and the rest of the Lac qui Parle Valley squad through the first half.

Hosting Camden North rival Dawson-Boyd, Allpress hit five first-half 3-pointers as the Eagles built a 46-15 lead at the break.

The Eagles, ranked fourth in Class A, cruised to a 75-43 victory.

Allpress, who had a game-high 25 points, scored 17 in the opening 18 minutes. He was far from the only sniper for the LQPV offense as Maverick Conn drilled four 3-pointers as part of a 14-point effort. Conn was also an efficient facilitator, finishing with 10 assists. Evan Hegland also finished in double figures for LQPV with 15 points.

The Eagles' offense built an 18-2 lead in under six minutes while the defense kept the Blackjacks out of double digits until Micah Olson scored a layup to make it 32-10 with 6:04 before halftime.

D-B's top scorers were Micah Olson and Keegon Wicht, who both had nine points. Gauge Liebl followed up with eight points.

LQPV plays at 7:30 p.m. Thursday against MACCRAY in Clara City. D-B is host to Russell-Tyler-Ruthton at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
