When the area is buried in snow, kids are buried in snow-day fun

The Kids Page is a compilation of responses written by kindergarten through eighth-grade students from area schools. Students are asked a different question each month and answers are printed

I love snow days. I like to go outside and play in the snow. I like to throw snowballs at my brother and sister. I also like to go sledding. Why I like to go outside and play is because when I go back inside I get hot chocolate. I also like to play video games so I can beat my brother.

I love waking up to a snow day. You know you’re rushing around trying not to be late, then school calls you and you feel this sigh of relief that you don’t have to go to school. When this happens to me I would have to celebrate with a dance party. Then I would build tiny houses with snow. Then I would relax and drink some hot cocoa and probably nap because I had to get up super early for school. I have to get up at 7:00 AM and start leaving by 7:45 AM! After that I would go take a hike in my backyard. Then rest some more. Later I would build an igloo with my dad. Then I would build a snow fort with my dad then we would play in it. I hope we have a lot of snow days this year.

Last but not least I jump on my trampolen with the snow on it! It’s so cool to have the snow flying. Then we would dringk hot chocolate. Then it’s night so then we sleep.
