"WALK in the WORDS" is the theme for this year's Art in the Park, sponsored by Simply Hand Made and the Fredericksburg Community Library. Art activities for all ages, using items and inspiration from nature. Free of charge. Three free workshops − on herbs, wildflower photography and flower arranging − plus guided tours through the arboretum.

Kingwood 5K Run and Walk, 9 a.m. Saturday, June 10, front of Kingwood Hall mansion in Mansfield. The chip-timed 5k will allow participants to enjoy a beautiful course within Kingwood’s gardens and along the B&O bike trail. The 5k is open to all abilities and ages.
