Civil War History Day, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Smithville Community Historical Society. Civil War presenters will include the 41st OVI reenactors, President Abraham Lincoln and a Civil War medicinal herb presentation. Civil War artifacts, food, music and more will be part of the day. All of the buildings in the Pioneer Village and the Mishler Mill will be open to tour (10 a.m.-3 p.m.) and at 1 p.m. a vintage baseball will be played with Smithville Stars vs. Wyandotte Ghostriders. The event is free.

County Fair-Style Chicken BBQ Fundraiser, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, Central Christian Church, 407 N. Market St., Wooster. Meal will included 1/2 chicken, baked beans, applesauce, roll and butter and an Amish fry pie. Cost is $12 a meal. Carry out or drive thru.

Ohio Vintage Truck Reunion, June 24-25, Ashland County Fairgrounds, hosted by Ohio Chapters of the American Truck Historical Society. Show hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday. Hundreds of vintage trucks, trucking memorabilia display, truck model contest, swap meet, on-site camping, slow race, jake-off, light show, truck swap meet, country convoy. Donations to Ashland Food Bank and Shriner’s Transportation Fund appreciated. Veterans Appreciation Day, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, July 8, Clark Community Center. The Holmes County Historical Society is hosting a day of appreciation to Holmes County veterans and families. The picnic will be held at the Clark Community Center. Free to all active and past military personnel and families.
