Wayne Heart Walk, 5 p.m. Thursday, Oak Hill Park, Wooster. The event celebrates heart and stroke survivors by raising funds and encourage physical activity. Kids Zone will have activities for children. The Whiz Bang Science Show will be held at 5:15 p.m. Participants can take part in health screenings and learn the lifesaving skill of Hands-Only CPR. The walk begins at 5:45 p.m. There is a 2-mile course on hills throughout the park.

The Wine, Beer & More, 6-9 p.m. Thursday, annual fundraiser for Main Street Wooster. There will be four locations offering local to international wines and beers for sampling. Standard admission is $50 each while the VIP admission is $100 each.

Honoring Dave Broehl, 3 p.m. Saturday, the Wayne County Historical Society. The WCHS will dedicate its permanent collection exhibit halls in honor of the late Dave Broehl. The ceremony, on the historical society’s campus at 546 E. Bowman St., Wooster, is free and open to the public. A plaque will be unveiled and visitors may tour the newly named David Broehl Exhibit Halls. Overflow parking will be available in the St. Mary’s Church parking lot.

Ceramic Forms in Nature Workshop, noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, Massillon Museum. Artist Barrie Kaufman will lead a hand-building pottery workshop. Open to adults and students ages 14 and older, the workshop will help participants imagine the diverse forms inspired by nature in new ways.
