Area Happenings: Dog costume contest, Harvest Fest and Market

“Mirror Mirror," through Dec. 1, Sussel and Morgan Galleries of Ebert Art Center, 1220 Beall Ave., Wooster. College of Wooster Art Museum (CWAM) is displaying its fall exhibition showcases with work of 14 women artists and focusing on issues of identity as women, artists, mothers, wives, daughters and friends. The curator’s talk will be at 7 p.m. Friday, followed by a dessert reception, and artist panels will be held 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. Both events will take place in the Ebert Art Center.

“An Evolution from Imagery to Entanglement,” through Oct. 29, The Coburn Gallery at Ashland University. It will showcase a painting exhibition featuring alumnus Jamie Lindholm, who works primarily with oils and charcoal. This event is free and open to the public.

Dog Halloween Costume Contest, downtown Wooster Farmers' Market, between Liberty and North streets, 8 a.m.-noon Saturday. Take dogs in costume. Get their photo taken at Daisy Dog Barkery’s Booth. Voting will take place on the market's Facebook page: Downtown Wooster Farmers’ Market. Most likes wins. The winner gets a $75 gift basket from Daisy Dog Barkery filled with treats.

The Madrigal Feaste takes audiences back to “Merry Olde England," for an evening of fine singing, original comedy, award-winning dining and cherished traditions.
