Orrville Rotary Club Pancake Day, 7 a.m.-noon Saturday, Trinity United Methodist Church, North Crownhill Road. Menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage links, applesauce and beverage. Suggested donation is $7; kids 5 and under eat free. Carry-out will be available. Proceeds support local and international Rotary projects. Use north entrance.

Maple Syrup Festival Pancake and Sausage Breakfast, 7-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sonnenberg Mennonite Church, 14367 Hackett Road, Kidron. Meals are dine-in or drive-thru, and by donation. Proceeds support missions and missionaries.

Strides for Diabetes Awareness 5K, 9 a.m. Saturday, Malabar Middle School, 205 W. Cook Road, Mansfield. The Mansfield United Lions Club will host a run/walk and 1-mile walk. Ohio Civil War And WWI & II Show, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Richland County Fairgrounds 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p. Sunday. Admission is $7; children under 12 free when accompanied by an adult. Parking is included. The Ohio’s only Civil War And WWI&II Show will host 380 exhibitors, 800 tables of military memorabilia from 1775-1945 for buy, sell or trade. The show will feature a 1776 Revolutionary War Living History Encampment, which will perform drills, musket firing, colonial period camp cooking, and also showing and explaining various period military attire and other demonstrations.

Rummage Sale, 8 a.m.- 3 p.m. Saturday, Smithville United Methodist Church, 243 N. Milton St., Smithville. Boy Scouts Pack 73 will serve a pancake and sausage breakfast, in the fellowship hall, 7-11 a.m. Anyone living outside of the city limits of Smithville is welcome to set up spaces in the parking to sell items. Call the Church Office at 330-669-2371, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday to secure a space.

Flea Market/Craft Show, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Ashland County Fairgrounds, Mozelle Hall and under the grandstands. New vendors and free admission.

2022 Blues Challenge, 4:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Eagles, 6979 Sunset Strip Ave. NW, North Canton. Hosted by Northeast Ohio Blues Association. Doors will open at 3 p.m.. Food service will be provided by the Eagles Club. Ten blues acts, consisting of bands and solo/duo performers, will compete for cash prizes and NEOBA sponsorship at the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, Tennessee.

Astronomy Day, noon-11 p.m. Saturday, May 7, The Wilderness Center, Wilmot. The event will take place in the Interpretive Building and the observatory. After 4:30 p.m., there will be events at the planetarium and observatory. The Wayne County Historical Society’s eight-building campus is open every Saturday, with tours at 1, 2, and 3 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults; free for those under 14.
