Wayne County Humane Society's Christmas in July, 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Wayne County Fairgrounds Event Center, Wooster. Food trucks, silent and live auctions, an appearance from Santa and Mrs. Claus, Christmas ales from The Phoenix Brewing Company, plenty of beer and wine choices and carnival games. Admission is $15 and includes one drink ticket. Food will be available for purchase at the food trucks and a portion of the sales will be donated to the WCHS.

The Wayne County Historical Society Summer Community Band Concerts, 7 p.m. Thursday and July 20; Randy Claes directing. On Thursday, the band will perform in Downtown Wooster on North Market Street. On Wednesday, July 20, the performance will be at Sonnenberg Village, Kidron.

Awards will be given to the Single People’s Choice Award and Judge Awards for the Best Vehicles in the categories: pre-30s, 40s and 50s, 60s and 70s, 80s+. Native American Day, 1:30-4 p.m. Sunday, Smithville Community Historical Society. Speakers, authors and demonstrators will bring their expertise on the subject of Native Americans in the Eastern United States and their culture. There will be a vintage baseball game with the Smithville Stars and the Bay Village Villagers. All buildings in the Pioneer Village and the Mishler Mill will be open to tour. This is a free event. The Wayne County Historical Society’s eight-building campus is open every Saturday, with tours at 1, 2, and 3 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults; free for those under 14. Special exhibits include “Votes for Women!”, “Apron Strings” and “A Season of Quilts: Spring.” The historical society is located at 546 E. Bowman St., Wooster.
