Palmer rushed for 184 yards and a TD in Decatur’s 54-35 loss to Anna last week. … Rider overcame four turnovers and 120 yards of penalties to trample rival Wichita Falls High last week. The Steers and Porcupines are breaking in young players at key positions this season, but Springtown has the benefit of an experienced quarterback in Hudson Hulett. Hulett is the son of head coach Brian Hulett and has been the team’s starting quarterback since he was a freshman. While he struggled throwing the ball last week, Hulett did rush for a team-high 122 yards on 12 carries. … Graham has its own quarterback who has been starting as a freshman.
