LICENSE REINSTATEMENT – A Driver’s License Reinstatement Clinic is planned for 9 a.m. to noon March 4 at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 425 Cleveland Ave. SW in Canton. During the session, drivers can find out if they are eligible for Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles’ Reinstatement Fee Amnesty Initiative, and how much BMV fees can be reduced. SEBRING KINDERGARTEN – Sebring Local Schools is accepting appointments to screen students for its Fall 2023 kindergarten classes. Call Mary Harlan at 330-938-2025 to schedule your child’s appointment for March 3. Students must be age 5 by Sept. 30 and live in the school district to be eligible. Open enrollment is also available, but families must register in their home school district first before applying to Sebring Local Schools. Parents must bring the child’s birth certificate, immunizations records, Social Security card, two proofs of residency, custody papers (if applicable) and parent identification. All Items will be copied for the record. Appointments will take about an hour. Children’s speech, hearing and vision will be checked, and a kindergarten teacher also will assess basic skills including colors, numbers and letters.

RODMAN FRUIT – Rodman Public Library invites patrons to get to know their fruit a little better from the inside out when Holly Bandy of the Ohio State University Extension’s College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Science presents “Know Your Fruit” at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20. Key points of the hour-long presentation will include health benefits, servings, preparation and storage. Attendees also can sample a healthy, fruity treat. The event is free, but space is limited. QUAKERTOWN TROLLEY – Salem Historical Society is offering Underground Railroad on at noon Feb. 20 and 3:30 p.m. Feb. 26. Tours last about 90 minutes with loading at the Shaffer Library, 239 S. Lundy St. A minimum of 15 riders is necessary. Call 330-337-8514 to reserve seats. Cost is $15 per person. Messages will be returned during regular office hours.

MARCH FIRST FRIDAY – Downtown Alliance plans its March First Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. March 3. The event will celebrate St. Patrick's Day and Music Madness for the whole family. Alliance City School’s music department will perform at various locations around downtown, and businesses will play host to a shamrock scavenger hunt. Each business will have a prize. There also will be a grand prize raffle that will include everyone who finds all the Lucky Charms and turns in their completed map. Rodman Public Library’s Bookmobile will be on hand, and will offer story time about 6:30 p.m. A musical history play will be staged at the Alliance Preservation and Historical Society booth. Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce also plans a meet-and-greet with the Roller Brothers Band and food from Old Carolina BBQ. AHS 1956 – Alliance High School Class of 1956 will meet at 9 a.m. Feb. 21 at Don Pancho’s Tex Mex Café, 2105 W. State St. All classmates, friends, spouses are welcome.

PANCAKE SUPPER – Trinity Episcopal Church's annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper will be 4:30 to 7 p.m. Feb. 21 in the undercroft of the church. There is no cost, and the public is invited. A free-will offering will be taken for all who are able. Shrove Tuesday, or Mardi Gras, is the last day of feasting before the 40 days of Lent begins the next day, Ash Wednesday.
