MINERVA UPDATE – Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce’s 10th annual State of the Village luncheon will be noon Jan. 30 in the Minerva Public Library Community Room. The event will feature presentations from Minerva Local School District Superintendent Gary Chaddock; Minerva Village Administrator Benjamin Gunderson; and Lifecare Family Health & Dental Center CEO Eric Niemeyer. Box lunches from Grinder’s are available by preorder for $15 each. Choices are ham grinder, smoked turkey grinder or chicken cashew salad. Meals also include fruit cup, brownie and bottled water. MINERVA COMEDY – Minerva’s Roxy Theatre plans a comedy night at 7 p.m. Saturday starring The Real John King, and featuring Brandon Petri. Patrick Madison will be host. King is a comedy veteran who hails from Akron and started performing standup in 1984 in Birmingham, Alabama. King has been seen on “Showtime at the Apollo,” BET’s “Comicview” and the Nashville Network. Tickets are $25 and are available at Grinder's Above & Beyond in Minerva, Minerva Perk, Que Pasa, The Hart Mansion Restaurant, John's Bakery & Café, and the Minerva Chamber office, 203 N. Market St., or at minervachamber.ticketleap.com/roxycomedynight. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The Roxy Theatre is at 114 N. Market St. and is handicap accessible. Other upcoming events include comedian Michael Cheselka, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 3; Deuce and a Quarter blues band, 7 p.m. Feb. 17; and The Ghost Town Blues Band, 7 p.m. Feb. 24. SEBRING HOUSING – Sebring Village’s Fair Housing Board will meet at 5 p.m. Jan. 22 at Township Hall. Among items on the agenda is nomination of chair and vice chair.

KNOX TRUSTEES − Knox Township Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at 2895 Knox School Road. Trustees will convene at 6:45 pm to review bills.
