Area news in brief for March 14

FARMERS MARKET – Returning, new and prospective vendors should attend a meeting at 5 p.m. March 31 at Rodman Public Library, 215 E Broadway St. in Alliance. Organizers will pass out market information and answer questions during the hour-long meeting.

EGGSTRAVAGANZA SET – Raptor Hollow plans its second annual Eggstravaganza from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 1 and April 8. All proceeds will go to support care of our animals. Activities for children of all ages include egg hunts, egg races, egg coloring and chances to meet animal ambassadors. Prices are general admission, which is $8 for the public and $4 for members. WOMEN IN WHITE – The 25th 100 Women In White event will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Second Baptist Church in Alliance. The 100 Women in White movement was founded by the late Eunice Waiters as a way to bring women from different congregations together to sing and worship God. Each year, the women prepare and put on an uplifting performance while dressed in white to symbolize purity before God as they praise Him through music. COMMUNITY BREAKFAST – Damascus United Methodist Church and Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church plan their monthly community breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. March 18 at the Damascus church, 300 Valley Road. Breakfast features all-you-can-eat, made-to-order pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, juice and coffee. Cost is donation only. Proceeds will benefit the upcoming 2023 Summer Mission Trip to Camden, New York, to work with Cluster 13 Ministries.

ALLIANCE PARKS − City of Alliance Board of Park Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Silver Park office, 2930 S. Union Ave. Note: Meeting date has been changed, until further notice.
