PEDIATRICIAN JOINS – Dr. Shannon Thompson has joined Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics’ Alliance practice at 1826 S. Arch Ave. Dr. Thompson earned her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency at Akron Children’s Hospital and has been practicing medicine since 2018. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She joins Dr. Laura Penix, Dr. Judith Rhee and Dr. Megan Woodward, pediatric nurse practitioners Kellie Hays, Daphney Miller and Heather Theisen as well as mental health therapist Stephanie Griffiths in the Alliance practice. MARLINGTON MEETING – Marlington Local Schools Board of Education plans a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in Marlington High School’s Digital Learning Zone, 10450 Moulin Ave. in Lexington Township. The Board plans to livestream the meeting on the Marlington Local Schools Technology Department’s YouTube channel.
