STARK DD – Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities governance board will be 6 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Ernest Cohen Room of the Whipple-Dale Centre, 2950 Whipple Ave. NW in Canton. The meeting is open to the public. Additionally, interested parties can view a livestream of the meeting at the Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities Facebook page at www.facebook.com/StarkDD. A recording of the meeting in its entirety will be made available to the public on the Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities website at www.starkdd.org.

COVID VACCINES – Alliance City Health Department plans a Moderna COVID-19 vaccination clinic for the updated bi-valent booster from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Oct. 26 at Alliance Area Senior Citizens Center, 602 W. Vine in Alliance. Clinic is by appointment only by contacting the department’s call center at 330-249-1013. Do not contact the Senior Center or Health Department. This bi-valent booster clinic is for those ages 18 or older who have completed the primary series of COVID-19 vaccine and are two months since the last booster.

VIRTUAL JOB FAIR – OhioMeansJobs.com has announced virtual job fairs for Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Four fairs will be conducted, each in a different quarter of the state of Ohio. Registration is open now, and participants should sign up early so employers can view their information and schedule interviews during the event. Job seekers can register at this shortened URL: qrco.de/bdKKTW. Employers also are able to register to take part in hiring by emailing employmentservices@jfs.ohio.gov.

TOWEL COLLECTION – Canton Ballet has announced a collection to support homeless animals of Stark County. Officials are seeking new and used clean towels and blankets to help keep animals warm. Pieces with small holes or discoloration are fine for the collection. Items can be dropped off at the Cultural Center for the Arts, on Market Avenue North, to the attention of the Canton Ballet or Canton Museum of Art; North Canton Public Library on North Main Street; Massillon Museum on Lincoln Way East; Pet Supplies Plus on Portage Street in Jackson Township; Stark County Emergency Veterinary Clinic on Whipple Avenue in Canton; and Alterclinic Animal Care on Fulton Road in Canton.

MAHONING VOTER GUIDE – League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown has published its 2022 General Election Voter Information Guide, which includes non-partisan information on candidates and issues to be decided by Mahoning County voters in the 2022 general election. The Guide is available in English and Spanish, both in print and digital formats. Print copies are available at all branches of the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County and are available at various restaurants, retail establishments, churches and other gathering places throughout the county. The guide is also available on the League website, www.lwvgy.org.
