Area news in brief for Oct. 24

CLOTHES CLOSET – Louisville Church of Christ, 1520 California Ave. NE, offers free clothing, diapers and adult incontinence products at its next giveaway, planned for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 7. The Clothes Closet is open to the public on the first Monday of each month. Items from Stark County Diaper Bank also are available during Clothes Closet hours and throughout the month by calling for a private appointment at 330-875-1673. Donations are accepted 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays.

MAHONING COMMISSIONERS – Mahoning County commissioners will meet at 5 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Beaver Township Administration Building, 11999 South Ave. in North Lima. Commissioners periodically move meetings into communities within the county.

SEBRING COUNCIL – Sebring Village Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in Village Hall. Among items on the agenda are discussion of a contract with Agri-Sludge, Inc., for biosolids management at the wastewater treatment plant; and to establish wages for temporary contract employees for the Village of Sebring. Sebring Village Council’s Legislative Committee will meet at 6:15 p.m. Monday. Among items to be discussed are parking fines and code enforcement rules.

MAHONING HEALTH – Mahoning County Public Health’s Health Board plans a special meeting at 1 p.m. Monday at the Canfield Fairgrounds Administration Building, 7265 Columbiana-Canfield Road in Canfield. Purpose of the meeting is for the board to recess into executive session to meet with Clemans Nelson & Associates.
