Area placed in a winter weather advisory

Jan. 13—A system moving into the area Friday could bring up to 6 inches of snow to round out the week. In response, the National Weather Service has placed the area in winter weather advisory, which goes into effect at 6 a.m. Friday and will stretch through to midnight.

According to the NWS the area could see 4 to 6 inches of snow during the day Friday with another inch possible Friday night. However, the heaviest snow is slated to fall during the afternoon hours.

A high of 24 is predicted with a low of 4 and a wind chill value of -6.
