Area residents may see low-flying helicopter doing inspections

Aug. 31—RINDGE — Eversource technicians will be inspecting high-voltage transmission lines throughout New Hampshire by helicopter Wednesday, according to the town's police department.

The Rindge Police Department said in a Facebook post Tuesday that residents may see and hear a low-flying helicopter that will be doing the inspections Wednesday between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting.

Fitzwilliam, Rindge, Greenville, Hinsdale, Winchester, Swanzey and Keene are among the Monadnock Region municipalities the helicopter is scheduled to pass through, according to the post.

The technicians will be identifying any issues that need attention around the high-voltage transmission lines, such as hazard trees that need removal or repairs that need to be made, the Facebook post states.

A spokesperson for Eversource could not immediately be reached for comment.
