Jun. 11—SALEM — Hunter Warren pitched a no-hitter for third-seeded Mt. Abram (14-3) in its 2-0 victory over Sacopee Valley (12-6) in the Class C South baseball quarterfinals Thursday.
Warren struck out eighth batters. He also drove in a run.
Matt Marquis had four hits, including a double, to lead the second-seeded Mustangs to a Class C South quarterfinal win over the seventh-seeded Black Bears in Monmouth.
Hayden Fletcher had two doubles for Monmouth, while Manny Calder had three hits.
Tyler Hreben, Wyatt Lambert and Alex Trafton each had two hits for Maranacook.
Damon Bossie drove in seven runs for the second-seeded Blue Devils (14-3) in a Class A North quarterfinal win over the seventh-seeded Rams (8-9) in Lewiston.
Bossie had three hits, including a triple. Joe Murphy added two triples and drove home four runs and Cooper St. Hilaire contributed two singles.
Kyle Douin paced Cony with two hits, including a triple, and two RBIs. Issac Gammon also had two hits and he scored two runs.
Blaine Cockburn and Zane Aguiar and combined on a one-hitter, leading the ninth-seeded Falcons (12-6) to a Class B South quarterfinal win over the 16th-seeded Patriots (3-15) in Freeport.
Cockburn hit the first batter of the game, then struck the next 11 before exiting after four innings. Aguiar gave up Gray-New Gloucester's only hit.
Keigan Shea and Gus Wing each recorded multiple hits for Freeport, which ended the game through the mercy rule with a run in the sixth. Anthony Panciocco notched a double.
Freeport advances to the semifinals Saturday against No. 5 York.
The Patriots' season ends in the quarterfinals after an upset win over top-seeded Yarmouth on Tuesday.
