Notes: The Dukes broke out of their three-game hitting slump with 10 extra-base hits, including three by Connor Evanich, who scored three times and drove in three runs. Tommy Skelding also had three extra-base hits and six RBIs. Drew Denham went 3-for-3, while Garret Odey and Danny Grimes had two hits apiece. Ian Mills pitched a complete game for Marlington. Christian Starcher had two hits and three RBIs for West Branch, while Aaron Tucker delivered two hits and two RBIs. The Warriors’ loss to Salem on Wednesday was reversed on appeal by the OHSAA late Friday after it was discovered a Salem pitcher had exceeded the pitch-count rule.
