Apr. 27—If the weather cooperates, all eight area teams still alive in the state playoffs will be playing Friday.

Originally, the series involving Athens Bible and Lindsay Lane were scheduled for today. Rain has pushed them to start on Friday.

Each playoff series has two games on Friday with a third game, if needed, to be played Saturday.

Here's the schedule for area teams:

Class 6A: Minor (31-4) at Hartselle (27-7), 5 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday.

Class 6A: Athens (22-12) at Cullman (19-19), 4:30 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. Saturday.

Class 5A: Sardis (24-5) at Ardmore (15-19), 5 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. Saturday.

Class 4A: Priceville (26-4) at Cordova (15-10), 4:30 p.m. Friday, noon Saturday.

Class 4A: Westminster Christian (19-9) at West Limestone (23-10), 4:30 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. Saturday.

Class 3A: Piedmont (23-7) at Decatur Heritage (17-12), 4:30 p.m. Friday, noon Saturday.

Class 2A: Lindsay Lane (24-9) at North Sand Mountain (19-8), 4 p.m. Friday, noon Saturday.

Class 1A: Appalachian (23-3) at Athens Bible (12-11), 1 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. Saturday.
