Theft cases at the top 10 locations

Phoenix Police Department crime data shows that cases of theft at Christown mall have declined since 2019. Many theft cases may not make it into the police data, however, as some stores don't report thefts under a certain dollar value, among other factors.

But the situation is not all gloom and doom. In fact, in most of the areas where more than 50 thefts were reported as of September 2023, incidents have fallen compared to the same period in 2022. Another shopping center in north Phoenix has the highest rate of increase of thefts since last year.

Areas where thefts have decreased the most

Reports of thefts to the police have reduced significantly in several areas. The highest rate of reduction so far this year was recorded near Southern Avenue and 31st Ave.
