The first stage of Major League Baseball All-Star Game voting ended Thursday.

But St. Louis Cardinals fans can still press for a pair of local favorites — Paul Goldschimdt and Nolan Arendo.

Paul Goldschimdt is a finalist at first base along with Pete Alonso of the New York Mets. Goldschmidt has six consecutive All-Star Game selections along with two starts from 2013-2018 during his stint with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Nine-time Gold Glove winner Nolan Arenado is looking for his 12th All-Star Game appearance and faces San Diego’s Manny Machado as a finalist at third base.

The last time the Cardinals had two All Stars was in 2018 when Yadier Molina and Carlos Martinez were selected.

Phase 2 of the All-Star Game voting will open at 11 p.m. on July 5 and close at 12:59 p.m. on July 8. To vote, go to: https://www.mlb.com/all-star/ballot.

The Commissioner’s Office will make the pitcher and reserve sections for both the National League and American League. Yadier Molina, Albert Pujols and Tommy Edman have a chance at being reserves after placing in the top five in the first stage of voting at their respective positions.

Complete rosters will be announced on July 10 during the 2022 Chevrolet All-Star Selection Show.

The All-Star Game will be played in Los Angeles on July 19.
