'Aren't even pretending to be in charge': Obama swipes at Trump administration

Via a pre-taped speech that was aired as part of a virtual commencement ceremony for graduates of historically black universities, Obama said that the pandemic had finally "torn back the curtain on the idea that so many of the folks in charge know what they're doing".

He added: "A lot of them aren't even pretending to be in charge."

Last week during a private conference call, Obama described President Donald Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic as "chaotic," according to a source familiar with the call.
