Ariana Grande and Elizabeth Gillies Reveal Kissing Lip Gloss Hack in "Thank U, Next" Behind the Scenes Video

Gonna try this with my BFF.

If you’ve ever found yourself with a dire need for a makeup touch-up and no makeup in sight, Ariana Grande has a tip for you. All you need is a BFF.

On Friday, December 7, Ari posted the second BTS clip from her hit video “thank u, next,” which included a cute anecdote about the singer-songwriter and her former Victorious star, Elizabeth Gillies. The whole thing starts when Elizabeth asks Ariana: “Remember when we ran out of lip gloss and kissed on Nickelodeon?!”

Yep, it turns out that when Ariana and Elizabeth needed lip touch-ups, they would help each other out with a friendly smooch if their makeup artist wasn’t available. “When no one would hear us and we would be begging...and they would be like ‘rolling,’ we would look at whoever was glossier at the moment...to add more color,” Elizabeth explains in the video, making a kissy face. “That was really funny, I had forgot about that,” Ariana adds.

There you have it! A simple solution to fixing your makeup — only if both you and your BFF are cool with it, of course.

And that wasn’t the only interesting reveal from Ariana’s 11-minute video. The pop star also explains why she decided to write about her exes in the “Burn Book” — and how it’s actually really different from Regina George’s infamous pink notebook in Mean Girls. “We put all of our past experiences in here and we write really nice things about them because, honestly, each person we’ve shared a little part of ourselves with has contributed to the people we are today and to our growth,” Ariana says in the video, in keeping with the overall theme of “thank u, next.” It’s a sentiment we could all probably learn a bit from; after all, sometimes things that don’t work out often teach us a valuable lesson in the long run.
