Ariana Grande Legal Battle Over 'God is a Woman' Dropped

Ariana Grande has one less legal problem to worry about, with a Vegas artist dropping his lawsuit against the pop star.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the artist Vladimir Kush and his company Kush Fine Arts Las Vegas filed a notice of voluntary dismissal.

The document notes, “Plaintiffs VLADIMIR KUSH and KUSH FINE ARTS LAS VEGAS, INC. hereby give notice that the above-captioned action is voluntarily dismissed against all Defendants, with prejudice, as the parties have reached a resolution.”

The case will officially be closed and all claims dismissed against Grande.

Earlier this year, the artist Vladimir Kush and his company Kush Fine Arts Las Vegas sued the singer claiming in her ‘God is a Woman’ music video there is an image of a woman featured in a candle flame, that he says is identical to painting he did in 1999 and 2000.

He sued seeking unspecified damages and for a court order taking down the video online.

Back in April, docs were filed in the case which showed Grande was attempting to settle the legal battle outside of court.

The parties informed the court they needed to push back the deadline for Grande to respond to the case, due to them discussing the resolution of the matter.

Last month, Grande settled a separate $50,000 legal battle with a photographer named Robert Barbera.

The court documents noted, “The Court having been advised that all claims asserted herein have been settled in principle, it is ORDERED that the above-entitled action be and is hereby dismissed and discontinued without costs.”
