Ariana Grande has released the video for her new single, “Positions”, which shows her as the US president.

The clip, directed by prolific music video director Dave Meyers, depicts Grande holding press conferences and making decisions in the Oval Office.

In between, she is shown preparing food in a kitchen and cleaning an oven.

The song includes the lyrics: “Switchin' the positions for you/ Cookin' in the kitchen and I'm in the bedroom/ I'm in the Olympics, way I'm jumpin' through hoops/ Know my love infinite, nothin’ I wouldn’t do/ That I won't do, switchin’ for you.”

“Positions” is the lead single from Grande’s surprise album, which she has said will arrive on 30 October.

The new record will follow 2019’s Grammy-nominated thank u, next, and the live album k bye for now, recorded during her Sweetener world tour.

Last year saw the release of a number of collaborations, including “Monopoly” with Victoria Monet, “Rule the World” with 2 Chainz, a “Good as Hell” remix with Lizzo, and “boyfriend” with Social House.

Grande also co-executive produced the soundtrack for the Charlie’s Angels reboot, which included the single “Don’t Call Me Angel” featuring Lana Del Rey and Miley Cyrus.

This year she teamed up with Lady Gaga for the hit song “Rain on Me”, and with Justin Bieber for the pandemic-inspired “Stuck with U”.
