No one does outerwear like Ariana Grande. When it comes to fashion, the pop star prefers consistency—Grande keeps her ponytails high and her heels even higher—but a rotating array of statement coats and hoodies allows her and her stylist, Law Roach, to experiment with the latest trends. Yesterday in New York City, they offered their take on extreme volume with a casual outfit anchored by one of Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton Menswear puffers from the Fall/Winter 2019 collection. A logomaniac’s dream, the quilted gray jacket took the classic monogram into plush territory. On the runway, towering male models made the piece seem typical, but on Grande’s petite frame, its statement potential was revealed. Giant, grey, and wrapped around her like a cocoon, it was far from the ordinary topper.

Paired with white sweatpants and high-top sneakers, the jacket kept Grande cozy as she went for an after-hours walk with her dog, Myron, who she dressed in a festive dog sweater. The star, who complimented her monochromatic look with furry grey earrings and a lengthy ponytail, retained the playfulness she’s become known for. This borrowed-from-the-boys piece added yet another layer to Grande’s signature look.
