Arizona Cardinals next coach odds favor Byron Leftwich, Eric Bieniemy, Sean Payton

The Arizona Cardinals are in search of a new head coach after firing Kliff Kingsbury on Monday.

One site has released odds for who it thinks that next coach could be.

And the favorite, according to those odds, is a former Arizona assistant.

BetArizona.com puts Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich as the favorite to land the Cardinals' head coaching job in its odds, which were released Monday afternoon.

Leftwich previously served as a quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator in Arizona, but was fired in 2018.

He is given +350 odds to be the Cardinals' next head coach, or a 22% probability.

The odds seem to favor offensive-minded coaches replacing Kingsbury in Arizona, with Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy second at +400 (20%).

Former New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton is third in the odds at +550 (15.4%), with current Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh fourth at +600 (14.3%).

Current Cardinals defensive coordinator Vance Joseph rounds out the Top 5 in the odds, at +900. (10%).

Payton and Harbaugh have been linked to Arizona (as well as other NFL teams) for months. Joseph has a lot of fans in the Cardinals' organization.

Interestingly, three other coaches are listed in BetArizona.com's odds: Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore at +1150 (8%), San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans at +1900 (5%) and former Cardinals coach and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers consultant Bruce Arians, albeit as a huge longshot, at +9900 (1%).

"The Field" is given odds of +400, or a 20% probability to be Arizona's next coach.
