Could the Arizona Cardinals make a big move at running back in NFL free agency?

The team already has James Conner at the position, but recent odds for Joe Mixon, Leonard Fournette and Saquon Barkley interestingly include the Arizona Cardinals as an option to be the next team of those running backs.

Bookies.com has the Cardinals third in odds to land Mixon, who reportedly could be released by the Cincinnati Bengals and become a free agent.

It gives Arizona odds of +450, or and 18.2% implied probability to land Mixon, with the Bengals (+150, 40%) and Chicago Bears (+400, 20%) the only teams ahead of Arizona.

As for Fournette, FloridaBet.com puts the Cardinals at +630 to be the next home for the running back, who will reportedly be released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, giving Arizona a 13.7% chance to acquire him.

Only the Miami Dolphins, at +545 and 15.5%, are above the Cardinals.

Barkley is a much bigger longshot to come to Arizona in recent odds for that running back's next team amid rumors that the New York Giants could release him.

OddsChecker recently gave the Cardinals odds of +1800 to land Barkley, or a 5.3% chance. 12 teams were included in odds for that running back, with Arizona 12th in the odds.

NFL teams much be compliant with the $224.8 million salary cap by March 15, meaning that several big-game players could end up being released and several running backs are among the possible cap casualties.

Could the Arizona Cardinals land a big-name running back as a result?

Those odds seem to indicate that they at least have a chance.
