The Arizona Cardinals Twitter account posted photos of Trey McBride in a Cardinals uniform over the weekend with the caption "can get used to this" along with a fire emoji.
We're guessing the intent of the post was to show off the rookie tight end in the uniform in order to excite fans.
The result was very different, however.
The comments on the post turned into another call for the team to get new uniforms, something for which fans have been clamoring for years.
Many of the comments also played off the team's "can get used to this" post in regards to needing new uniforms.

#AZCardinals are OG NFL & don’t want too change. But I completely agree. They were originally Phx. Cards but Tucson & Flag felt left out. If they had changed their name & colors like Wranglers or something SW/AZ wise plus DBack Colors A lot more people would be fans. pic.twitter.com/88Bs4UPrvf

Man I can’t stand our uniforms, particularly the road set. Does anyone else in the league still have piping?

Could the Cardinals get new uniforms?
In February, Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill had this to say when asked about the team getting new uniforms in an interview on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM:
“We look at all these things," Bidwill said on The Bickley and Marotta Show about getting new uniforms for the Cardinals. "You probably know, these things, there’s a timeline for them. It takes time. It's something among the array of things we look at around the team, it’s on the radar screen, so, appreciate the question.
He continued: "We’re going to honor tradition at the same time. Again, it’s part of the array of things we look at. It’s on the radar screen."
When pressed for a timeline to the Cardinals getting new uniforms, Bidwill replied: "It's on the radar screen. These things take time, guys."
The time can't come soon enough for some Cardinals fans.
