Arizona father, adult son missing for nearly a month after father last seen visiting son

An Arizona father and his adult son were reported missing nearly a month ago after the father was last seen leaving his house to visit his son, authorities said.

Chad Holvig, 51, was reported missing on July 11 by a family member after leaving his home in Tonopah, Arizona, to visit his son in Goodyear on July 4, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff’s office said Chad has not communicated with his family since July 6, which is “reported to be unusual behavior.”

His son, Dalton Holvig, 25, was last seen and heard from on July 10, the sheriff’s office said Wednesday.

Chad Holvig left dogs, belongings behind, sheriff’s office said

The sheriff’s office said Chad was last seen driving a 1999 black Dodge Durango. They said he left his dogs and all of his personal belongings behind.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, brown, steel hiking boots, a navy shirt with a yellow logo on the front, a black hat and a black backpack, the sheriff’s office said.

“Dalton reportedly had an injury to his leg,” the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office is asking the public for help in finding the two missing men.
