On Thursday, the Arizona Wildcats football team had the Pac-12's No. 1 recruiting class of 2022 and the No. 17 class in the nation, according to 247Sports.

Not too shabby.

Jedd Fisch's team is currently ranked No. 2 in the conference by the site in its recruiting rankings behind Stanford (and No. 20 overall), but there is nothing wrong with that.

Especially considering how Arizona has often been near the bottom of recruiting rankings for the conference in recent years.

As of Friday morning, 247 Sports' grading system for recruiting for 2022 gave the Wildcats 218 points, second to Stanford's 227.76 points.

Arizona has 22 commits for the upcoming class, five of whom are ranked as four-stars by the site. 17 are given three-star designations.

Stanford has seven four-star recruits and 15 three-star recruits.

On3.com, which compiles a consensus football recruiting ranking, had Arizona No. 30 in the country, third in the Pac-12 behind Stanford (No. 19) and UCLA (No. 29).

Again, nothing wrong with that.

Rivals put the Wildcats' class at No. 22 in the nation, only behind Stanford (No. 18) in the Pac-12.

Arizona has signed 22 recruits, including Anaheim Servite teammates Tetairoa McMillan (WR, 4 stars), Keyan Burnett (TE, 4 stars) and Noah Fifita (QB, 3 stars).

Other four-star signings include CB Ephesians Prysock (mission Hills Bishop Alemany), RB Rayshon Luke (Bellflower St. John Bosco) and LB Sterling lane (Westlake Village Oaks Christian).

Fisch's team has also landed six transfers in the transfer portal, most notably quarterback Jayden De Laura from Washington State.

247 Sports ranks McMillan as Arizona's highest all-time recruit. He is the No. 46 overall recruit in the nation, according to the site.
