Arizona high school football top performers in Week 1, 3A-1A: Top 10, best of rest

This will be a weekly feature, highlighting the top Arizona high school football players from the week.

Here are the top performers from Week 1, which featured games played in the small-school ranks, 3A through 1A. The top 10 are ranked by The Republic, followed by the best of the rest.

Week 1 top performers

1. Gage Baker, Surprise Paradise Honors, QB, Jr.

Completed 22 of 30 passes for 402 yards and three TDs in a 54-7 win over Wickenburg.

2. Ryan Kishbaugh, Show Low, RB, Sr.

In an upset of then-No. 1 Valley Christian, he ran for 195 yards and a TD on 12 carries and caught three passes for 111 yards and a score.

3. Finn Dilley, Lincoln Prep, Athlete, So.

In the 62-24 win over Desert Heights, he had a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown, a 35-yard fumble recovery return for a score, caught a TD pass and had six tackles.

4. Vance Cooper, Paradise Honors, RB, Sr.

He ran 17 times for 159 yards and three TDs and caught five passes for 112 yards.

5. Josh Morales, Paradise Honors, WR, Jr.

He caught nine passes for 175 yards and three scores.

6. T.J. Allen, Phoenix Shadow Mountain, RB, So.

In a 24-6 win over Tempe, he ran for two touchdowns, including a 15-yard game clincher in the fourth quarter.

7. Mack Molander, Mesa Eastmark, QB, Sr.

He ran four times for 51 yards and two TDs and threw a scoring pass in a 33-7 win over New Mexico's Robertson on the road.

8. Cameron Hackworth, Tucson Sabino, QB, Jr.

In a 42-20 win over Coolidge, he completed eight of 15 passes for 211 yards and two TDs and ran seven times for 57 yards and two scores.

9. Seth Baylon, Kingman, RB, So.

In a 30-21 win over Buckeye Odyssey Institute, he ran for 219 yards and a touchdown on 33 carries.

10. Monster Rios, Safford, RB, Jr.

He ran for 213 yards and three TDs in a 27-20 win at Phoenix Christian.

Best of the rest

Bennett Juve, Gilbert Christian, WR, Fr.

He caught three passes for 126 yards and a TD in his high school debut, a 34-6 win over Eloy Santa Cruz.

Tyler Johnson, Scottsdale Prep, QB, Sr.

He threw six TD passes, completing 14 of 24 for 172 yards, in a 40-8 win over Phoenix Veritas Prep.

Kaleb Burras, Heritage Academy Laveen, QB, So.

He completed 11 of 14 for 174 yards and a score in a 47-25 win over Glendale Prep. He also ran for a TD.

Josh Pierce, Chandler Lincoln Prep, QB, Fr.

He passed for 198 yards and three TDs with no interceptions in his first varsity game, a 62-24 win over Desert Heights.

Jackson Dilley, Lincoln Prep, RB, Sr.

He ran for 207 yards and three TDs on nine carries.

Xavier Mease, Sells Baboquivari, QB, Jr.

He ran seven times for 172 yards and two TDs in a 50-6 win over Fort Thomas. He completed 3 of 5 passes for 41 yards.

Ray Pedraza, Show Low, DB, Sr.

He intercepted three passes in the win over Valley Christian.

Noah Locke, Paradise Honors, OLB, Sr.

He had 3.5 sacks in the win over Wickenburg.

Mason Anderson, Kingman Academy, LB, Jr.

He had five sacks in a 38-0 win over Mountainside.
