Christen Allen Wright, wanted on a felony warrant for sexual misconduct and molesting a minor, was arrested in Indiana after police said he faked his own death.

In a statement from Sheriff Scottie Maples of the Clark County Sheriff's Office in Indiana, El Mirage police worked alongside the Sheriff's Office as well as Jeffersonville and Indiana police departments to track down Wright's whereabouts after learning he may be in the area.

"Authorities in Arizona relayed information to our agency that Mr. Wright had attempted to deceive investigators into believing he was deceased by driving to a local hospital in Arizona and having an acquaintance phone his family and tell them he was deceased, and they needed to collect his personal property from the hospital," Maples said in the statement. "This act of deception assisted Mr. Wright in fleeing Arizona."

Investigators were then led to find Wright at a residence in Sellersburg, Indiana, where he was then arrested by the Southern Indiana Regional SWAT team.

Wright, 38, was booked into the Clark County Jail and was awaiting extradition back to Maricopa County.
