Arizona State men's basketball gets Top 10 vote in AP poll
The Arizona State men's basketball team is ranked for the first time this season in the latest AP poll, coming in at No. 25.
But one voter thinks the Sun Devils are a lot better than No. 25.
The Seattle Times' Percy Allen has ASU, which is 11-1 on the season, ranked No. 8 on his ballot.
Allen has UConn first on his ballot, followed by Purdue, Houston, Kansas and Arkansas.
Arizona and Virginia are the only other teams ahead of coach Bobby Hurley's squad.
Interestingly, 40 voters did not include Arizona State in their rankings this week.

Allen has been high on the Sun Devils for a while. Last week, he ranked ASU No. 11 in the country.
He had them at No. 14 the week before and No. 22 the two weeks before that, with Arizona State debuting in his poll at No. 22 in Week 3 of the season.
ASU concludes its non-conference schedule against 9-3 San Francisco on Wednesday in a game that will be shown at 8 p.m. MST on CBS Sports Network.
Arizona State then hosts Arizona (10-1) on Dec. 31 at noon MST on Fox.
The Sun Devils have won nine straight games since losing at Texas Southern in overtime on Nov. 13, 67-66, their lone loss of the season.
“I think our wins speak for themselves,” Hurley said after his team's 91-67 win over San Diego on Sunday. “We’re 11-1, we’ve won on the road in Colorado, and Creighton and Michigan on a neutral site. VCU is a very good program. We’ve done what we should’ve done and I think that should be rewarded at this point. I know there’s a lot more basketball to be played, but as it stands right now, I think we should be a top-25 team.”
