Sports Chat Place: Take ASU and the points against TCU

Randy Chambers writes: "The Arizona State Sun Devils have issues scoring the ball, but they found something against Nevada, and it makes you wonder if they can bottle some of that up for the next round. We’ve seen teams from the first four in the past build on that momentum and go on a run in the main tournament. The TCU Horned Frogs have been hit or miss a lot this year, and their offense comes and goes as well. This could be interesting. Give me ASU and the points."

Odds Shark: TCU 75.6, Arizona State 70.8

The site predicts that TCU will win the game, but is taking ASU with the points. It has the total going over.

Betsperts: Go with Arizona State with the points vs. TCU

Dan Weiner writes: "Our prediction to win this game is TCU, and we project that Arizona State will cover the spread (TCU -5). Finally, we see the scoring in this one going over the posted total of 141 points."

Fansided: Go with the Sun Devils with the points against Horned Frogs

Reed Wallach writes: "I do think the key to this one comes down to the Sun Devils ability to shut down the Horned Frogs on the interior and make this into a defensive battle. While TCU is going to be able to generate second chances, the team is 248th in free throw percentage and I don’t see them winning with margin. I’ll take the underdog No. 11 seed to keep this first round meeting interesting."

Picks and Parlays: TCU 74, Arizona State 65

It writes: "The TCU Horned Frogs have had an up and down year but are still the better team in this game. Look for TCU to overwhelm a lackluster Arizona State team Friday night in the first round. Take the Horned Frogs to use their strength and defense to stifle the Sun Devils for the full 40 minutes. TCU will do enough for 40 minutes to get the win and cover to advance."

March Madness odds: Houston, Kansas, Alabama, Purdue 2023 men's NCAA Tournament favorites

Odds Checker: Take Arizona State with the points vs. TCU

It writes: "Arizona State got a tune-up game against Nevada. A 25 point victory that no doubt gave them confidence heading into their next matchup. With so little between these teams that extra boost in confidence and momentum may be what gives Arizona State an edge here."
