These Arizona trails and areas are still closed due to flooding
Due to recent storms bringing high precipitation and snowmelt, the Salt River Project, a utility that provides water and power to central Arizona residents, has increased its water releases from two reservoirs on the Verde River.
These releases along with continued rain and snowstorms have caused an array of evacuations, road closures, and hiking trail shutdowns. Here is an overview of what is still closed as of Friday.

Roads
Horseshoe Dam Road is closed at Bartlett Dam Road intersection, but Bartlett Lake is still accessible and open.
Trails and recreation
Tempe Town Lake has halted all boating activity until further notice which includes paddle boating, kayaking, standup paddleboarding, rowing and sailing, according to the city.
The Tonto National Forest has closed several recreational areas due to flooding, including:

Coon Bluff
Needle Rock

Roads
State Route 89A between Sedona and Flagstaff is closed in both directions
State Route 64 near the Grand Canyon National Park East Entrance (milepost 244-261) is closed
On Friday morning, water flows compromised the culvert at the Rio de Flag crossing of Slayton Ranch Road causing a portion of the roadway to collapse. Around 7 a.m. a Flagstaff Unified School District school bus drove over the area and through the surface. No injuries were reported. The road is closed until evaluations of the damage and repairs can be completed
Stoneman Lake Road between I-17 and Lake Mary Road is closed due to running water and very muddy conditions
