Arkansas basketball coach Eric Musselman got his first technical foul of the season during the first half against No. 17 Baylor on Saturday.

The foul came with 5 minutes, 44 seconds left in the first half, after Musselman was seen arguing a defensive foul call on Arkansas' Makhel Mitchell that could have been called as an offensive foul. Baylor's LJ Cryer made all three free throws to extend the Bears' lead to five points. The technical foul was the first on Musselman all season, with an assistant coach earning one during the Maui Invitational.

The Razorbacks (14-6, 3-5 SEC) were able to go on a 13-2 run following the technical foul to close the half. It gave Arkansas a six-point lead going into the half. Arkansas shot 60.9% from the field while holding Baylor to 24.2%.

By the end of the first half, Arkansas had committed 10 fouls compared to Baylor's 11. The officials were assigned by the Big 12, which for the SEC/Big 12 Challenge is normal as official designations are made by the home team.
