Arkansas football: Razorbacks headed to to Memphis for Liberty Bowl vs Kansas

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football fans can pack their bags: the Razorbacks are headed to the AutoZone Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tennessee.

Arkansas (6-6) will play Big 12 opponent Kansas (6-6) at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium on Dec. 28 (4:30 p.m. CT, ESPN).

It will be Arkansas' sixth appearance in the Liberty Bowl, which began in 1959. Most recently, the Razorbacks beat Kansas State in the Liberty Bowl at the end of the 2015 season. Running back Alex Collins was named the game's MVP.

The Razorbacks are playing in a Tier 1 bowl game for the second straight year. Arkansas ended last season with an Outback Bowl win over Penn State. Arkansas' record in bowl games dating back to 1934 is 15-24-3.
