Arkansas football vs. Cincinnati: Live score updates from season opener
FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football's 2022 season opener has arrived, with the No. 23 Razorbacks taking on No. 22 Cincinnati on Saturday (2:30 p.m. CT, ESPN) at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
It's the first-ever meeting between Cincinnati and Arkansas. Razorbacks coach Sam Pittman has a connection the Bearcats, having spent the 1996 season coaching Cincinnati's offensive tackles and tight ends.
Coach Luke Fickell and the Bearcats are coming off a historic 2021 season in which they became the first team outside the Power Five conferences to make the College Football Playoff. Cincinnati lost to Alabama 27-6 in the semifinal and finished the season 13-1.
Saturday's top-25 clash kicks off one of the toughest schedules in the country for Arkansas. Pittman said he expects a physical matchup between two veteran offensive lines. Check back here for live updates from the Razorbacks' season opener.
