WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Arkansas River is getting a facelift in downtown Wichita.
City councilmembers on Tuesday approved the hiring of LK Architecture to design walking paths and other amenities on the west bank, between Douglas Avenue and Waterman Street.
The work is paid for with a state grant. The funds were earmarked for riverfront improvements.
LK Architecture has done other projects along the river and has been in business for 51 years.
