Arkansas softball earns No. 4 seed in NCAA Tournament, will host regional at Bogle Park
FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas softball, fresh off its first SEC Tournament championship, will compete for a national title as the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. As a top-16 seed, the Razorbacks will host a regional at Bogle Park.
The Fayetteville regional also includes Oregon, Wichita State and Princeton.
Arkansas (44-9) will play its first opponent, Ivy League champion Princeton (27-15-2), at 5 p.m. Friday.
The winner will face the winner of the game between Oregon (31-17) of the Pac-12 and Wichita State (33-16) of the American Athletic Conference on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the double-elimination regional. The championship game is Sunday at 1 p.m.

Arkansas and Princeton will be meeting for the first time. The Razorbacks are 0-2 against the Ducks and 10-4 against Wichita State. Arkansas defeated the Shockers, 7-4, on Feb. 19.
The Razorbacks are hosting a regional for the second straight season. Arkansas advanced to and hosted super regionals in 2021 but fell to 11-seeded Arizona to fall short of the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.
The 2022 tournament will be Arkansas' 11th NCAA Tournament appearance in its 25-year history and its fifth under coach Courtney Deifel. The Razorbacks have never advanced past super regionals.
