Armed Black Protesters March Toward Georgia's Stone Mountain Confederate Monument

A group of armed black protesters gathered in Stone Mountain, Georgia, on July 4 before marching into the town’s famed park, which is home to a carving of Confederate leaders.

The armed group reportedly marched through the park, leaving with an escort from Stone Mountain Park Police.

11Alive.com reported the group was calling for the removal of Confederate-era monuments.
